The STROMAG Periflex® VN43011 is a heavy‑duty elastomer disc coupling from the Periflex® VN series, specially engineered for medium‑high torque diesel engine driven powertrains. It features linear torsional spring characteristics, delivering excellent torsional vibration damping and impact load absorption, effectively protecting engines, generators, gearboxes and associated equipment from harmful dynamic excitation.
Built with the proven axial plug‑in blind‑mount concept. The rubber disc tyre can be installed or replaced without removing adjacent engine or driven machinery, greatly lowering downtime for ship repair and on‑site maintenance. This coupling compensates axial, radial and angular shaft misalignment simultaneously, reducing extra stress on bearings, shafts and seals.
Two elastomer material choices are available for different operating environments:
‑ NR (Natural Rubber): ‑50 °C ~ +80 °C, outstanding damping performance for general industrial and marine auxiliary applications
‑ ECO heat‑resistant compound: ‑40 °C ~ +120 °C, superior oil and ozone resistance, ideal for continuous high‑temperature working conditions
